Synthesis and Characterization of Boron Suboxide B7O under High Pressure and High Temperature

摘要: 在高温高压条件下采用过量氧化锌氧化单质用的方法合成了富硼固体以B7O,并利用X射线衍射、X射线光电子能谱、红外光谱、二次离子质谱等测试手段,对合成产物进行了表征。测试结果表明,组成富硼固体B7O的基本结构单元是十二个硼原子组成的正二十面体,氧原子存在于这些结构单元的间隙之间,并与结构单元中的硼原子互相成键。本文所采用的合成方法较其它方法可以更方便地得到结晶情况很好的单相富硼固体B7O。Abstract: The red-brown boron-rich solid B7O has been synthesized by means of oxidation of boron with zinc oxide under conditions of 3.5 GPa and 1 200 ℃ for 30 min. The product after leached in hydrochroric acid has been characterized by XRD, XPS, IR, SIMS and chemical analysis. The results of SIMS and chemical analysis show that the chemical formula is B7O. The results of X-ray powder diffraction indicates that the crystal structure of the sample can be classified as hexagonal symmetry with lattice constants of =0.543 5 nm and c=1.2415 nm.
